My Bichon-Frise
 | |

Welcome to
my Bichon-Poo web site. This site is
for people who either already own a Bichon-Poo or for
anyone who may be
considering the purchase
of a Bichon-Poo. I have both a Bichon-Poo and a Bichon Frise.
I have conducted
numerous searches on the Internet in the past several years and have had great
difficulty in locating any information -- other than Breeder info
-- on the Bichon-Poo.
My intentions with
this web site are to expand the knowledge about the Bichon-Poo breed and
to reach
out to those who already own
or are considering purchasing a Bichon-Poo.
Hopefully, over time, with input from others, this site will grow in
information and be the "place to go"
for Bichon-Poo's.
Please note
that the information
that
I
provide is strictly based on my own experience and that of personal
input from other contributors to this site. I am not a professional
breeder, a veterinarian, etc.

What is
a Bichon-Poo?
A Bichon-Poo is a cross-bread of a
Poodle and a Bichon-Frise.
How do I know what I know about the Bichon-Poo?
I have owned a Bichon-Poo now for about
4 years. She is DARLING!
What is the difference money-wise
between a Bichon-Frise and a Bichon-Poo?
Well, that depends on the breeder and where
you live. Generally, the Bichon-Frise is more expensive because they are a
"Registered" breed. However, due to the increasing popularity of the
Bichon-Poo, the prices for those have climbed and can be quite comparable
to that of a Bichon-Frise. I personally paid approximately $350 less for
my Bichon-Poo than for my Bichon-Frise.
I also own a Registered Bichon-Frise as
well. He is just over two years old.
What are the major differences
between the Bichon-Frise and the Bichon-Poo besides the cost?
There are a few notable differences between
the two but that's about it.
My Bichon-Poo is a bit taller and longer -- not a lot, but some. She has
more of a poodle build that the typical Bichon body. Her hair is curly --
not tightly curled like a Poodle -- but not straight like a Bichon either
-- but still just as soft as the Bichon's
